Stanivuk Jelena is an MSc. early-stage researcher at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) the Fisheries Research Center (HAKI). Her focus is on freshwater aquaculture, especially pikeperch reproduction, and rearing. Her Ph.D. topic is on the role of spermatogonia transplantation in the Percidae family. During her research, she aims to develop protocols for preparing germ cell donors, as well as eligible recipients in intensive recirculation systems. Part of the tasks includes dealing with the broodstock, as well as the latter larval culture of pikeperch in intensive production. Part of her work implies also working in histology and cell culture laboratories. Ms. Stanivuk’s former education includes an MSc. And BSc. degree in Animal Science, from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia. Prior to this PhD, she worked as a teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Animal Science, where she was involved in tasks correlated to student teaching in several domains, fishery, beekeeping, and poultry husbandry. In future works, she plans to learn how to cryopreserve live cells, with a highlight on germ cell preserving manipulations.
