Precision technology improvements of predatory fish species
Recognizing the need to intensify fish production, we have been working for more than a decade on innovative developments of production technologies for native predatory fish species, including testing new types of feeding methods, breeding innovations and the use of chemical-free fish health products / methods. More recently, in the case of European catfish (Silurus glanis), we perform variety selection supported by modern genetic methods. During our program, significant genetic progress is expected in improving various value-measuring traits. Our goal is to create sustainable and high-quality goods in an intensive or combined production structure, which will find its place in both the Hungarian and European markets.
