I am a Ph. D. student at the Department of Environmental Toxicology of the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences, Institute of Aquaculture and Environmental Safety, and I also hold a research assistant position there. My main research areas are aquatic toxicology and ecotoxicology. I mainly perform standard toxicological tests on zebrafish and zebrafish embryos with environmental samples and occasionally with products / active ingredients - both in wild-type and transgenic lines. The MATE-AKI zebrafish laboratory has a GLP test site where I perform the duties of Asset Manager and take part in conducting experiments. Second, I perform bioaccumulation tests on common carp to identify genetic markers. My secondary area of research is biotechnology, as part of which I perform gene expression studies to supplement toxicity tests with transgenic zebrafish.
