Her main research activity is the study of the reproductive biology of riverine fish species. The preparation and analysis of histological sections is closely related to her research. Under her leadership, the Department's histology laboratory was established and is nowadays used for almost all research and external assignments. Her research also includes the determination of steroid hormones, which contributes greatly to the understanding of the reproductive cycle of different fish species. In the summer of 2014, she also learned the basics of immunohistochemistry to broaden the research background of the Department. In his teaching activities, she is involved in teaching several subjects (Fish reproductive biology, fish induced reproduction and fry culture, teaching fish biology), supervising students and PhD students. From January 2021, she is actively involved in the Department's activities again, contributing to proposals and maintaining international relations.
