Analysis of processes influencing fish physiology using high-throughput approaches
I have been studying various areas of fish biology for nearly 40 years. My career started with studies in biochemical toxicology, from there I moved to molecular biology and eventually ended up in genomics. The current interest of our research team is focused primarily on the (i) analysis of processes that form and maintain sex in fishes using high throughput technologies; and (ii) development of alternative, chemical-free treatments to help the recovery of fishes suffering from infectious diseases during their early development.
