My research focuses on the reproductive biology and reproduction of fish. Within the topic of reproductive biology, I am interested in the physiology of gametes and the course of ovulation. I examine what factors affect the quality of gametes. Recently, I have been involved in research on intensive rearing of fish larvae. I examine the effects of composition of feeds on growth and development.
Due to the nature of my research activity, I work in fish hatcheries during the breeding season of fish. In hatchery conditions, I test the effects of different hormonal treatments on ovulation and egg quality of economically important fish species. I am working on methods that will improve the fertilization rate of eggs. I also try to increase the efficiency of egg incubation.
I study the effects of different compositions of feeds on the growth and development of carp fry in hatchery and pond environments.
