Implementation of researches in environmental microbiology and applied mycology. Detection and identification of agriculturally and health-relevant microscopic fungi from various indoor and outdoor environmental and air samples. Identification of microscopic fungi by traditional microscopic and molecular DNA-based methods. Detection, culture and collection of toxinogenic, allergenic and potentially pathogenic fungal strains. The effects of global megatrends, especially climate change and world trade, on the spread of microscopic fungi in Hungary. Investigation of the growth of fungi introduced unintentionally by global trade from tropical regions, culturing them under different conditions based on the current and future climate of Hungary predicted by climate scenarios.
