In the course of my research, I am assessing new alternative protein and oil sources for the aqua feeds development and their effects to the fish metabolism and physiology. Behind this further goal is to search for feed additives, supplements, immunostimulants and to investigate their application, which play a key role in the protection of fish health. In my study on fish meat quality, firstly I am focusing to elucidate the impact of the rearing conditions, feeding management, type of feed and the environmental factors to the product quality, storage and food safety issues. In addition, my important task is to study the residues of xenobiotics (e. g veterinary drug residues used in fish husbandry), pollutants (heavy metals) in the meat products and the aquatic ecosystem, as well.
