His main field of research is practical hydrobiology and fish physiology, both in commercial and recreational ponds. By doing so, he maintains close relationships with fish farming companies and businesses, generating collaborations and orders with angling associations and private fishing lakes. He is the leader of the aquatic chemistry laboratory of the Department, where he also performs many commission assignments. It conducts research in feed, production biology and breeding technology with fish production companies. It is involved in the development of innovative processes in the fishing sector.
